Anyone selling gourmet food such as Tastefully Simple, Homemade Gourmet, Two Sisters?

karlee asked:

If so, which company is best, are you making real money at it or are supplies depleting your commissions? Any advice would help.
These are home party direct selling companies. Tastefully Simple is based out of Alexandria Minnesota, Homemade Gourmet is based out of Texas, and Two Sisters is owned by Blyth company.

I am a TS (Tastefully Simple) consultant. The commission is 36%, which means I very seldom make less than $100 a show. The product is sent directly to the customer, so I don’t have to do any running. I don’t keep any inventory at the house for consumers. I do have samples that I keep because I have to take samples with me to the parties as well as the host has samples that he/she has to make for the party. When I take cake as a sample, I would purchase the product, make the cake and freeze it. I would only use it as needed, so most of the cakes last for atleast 3 parties.

I am a Homemade Gourmet distributor and have been for 3 years. I am in the top 10 of sales for the company. We make 40% on inventory sales and 25% on direct ship orders. Whether you maintain an inventory or not is up to you. The best part is that our food is everday food and that you can save a huge amount on your groceries, because you have a tax write-off for sampling your product. We have a ton of marketing materials that are fee, but you also have the option of print catalogs. The key to Homemade Gourmet is its flexibility. Additionally, our sales force is still small enough that unless you are in TX, the market is wide open for you.

I am a Homemade Gourmet Distributor and I love it! I have been selling since April of last year and I have never liked to cook but after I went to my first Homemade Gourmet party I was totally sold on it! I then signed up and have been selling ever since. I have also tasted the other gourmet foods and just haven’t really liked them or there prices. I really feel that Homemade Gourmet is the best and there price fit into everyone price range. I have made an awesome amount and have set my own hours. I’ve been able to schedule around kids, husband and other family events going on and that to me is great in itself because I’m a real family person.
Anyway if you are interested or just want to check out the website
