Are any women gourmet cooks or is this a man thing?
“seriously, most men i know are really into cooking & are amazing chefs!! these guys are like Gordon Ramsey wanna-bes…I can follow a recipe- but its a far cry from anything gourmet!! LOL”
There are men who cook everything from brisket, steak, chicken cordon bleu, rack of lamb, chicken picatta, carbonara, homemade chicken noodle soup, stir fry, salmon steaks, halibut, fried fish, baked ziti, lamb chops, pork chops, potatoes au gratin, fried chicken, mashed potatoes, lasanga, to chocolate mousse, apple pie, creme brulee, tiramisu, homemade truffles, scones, cookies, cream puffs, fudge, brownies, cheesecake chocolate muffins to making cocktails, fresh bread, and fresh jams, and homemade cream cheese.
Are there any women who are into gourmet cooking? Can any women cook like this? Which gender is more likely to do this?
IF MEN DO THIS HOW COME ALL COOKING STUFF ONLINE IS POSTED BY WOMEN?
WOMEN get
-dinners when they get home
-cocktails made for men
-breakfast in bed
-lunch brought to work
-picnics with delicious food
-baked goods on dates
MEN NEVER GET THIS OR NOT AS OFTEN. HAS A MAN EVER BEEN MORE SPOILED IN A RELATIONSHIP?
Do
Many women believe things like
“I only pay once in awhile cuz he’s supposed to be the support system.”
“I have man who waits on me hand and foot and babies me”
“When dating, I don’t make a thing. You want food, take me out.”
Are there situations where its reveresed?

Cooking isnt a gender based thing. I know heaps of female cooks who cook such complicated dishes. And in my relationship I spoil my boyfriend by cooking him breakfast in bed and paying for dinners etc. It is really a world wide thing and i really dont think it is a one way gender thing.
This was THE most annoying question I’ve read (recently) in GWS.
To answer your question, I’m a woman. I’m a damn good cook. And I love cooking for my man.
For the gazillionenth time, Ye-B, Huh, BigBlue, Chino, etc whatever the name that is behind your boring, one-track personality is:
SEEK PROFESSIONAL PSYCHIATRIC HELP
*this troll seems to have some sort of weird food ******…or a fantasy about having a man serve him breakfast in bed, etc.
By the time i got pass that big gap i forgot what the question is sorry
Here is the information you TRULY need:
Good luck.
I TOTALLY agree with you. You are SO, SO, right. And I’ve proven it!
You mean like Presidential Medal of Freedom Recipient Julia Child?
“As a student in Paris, Child met two other kindred cooks and they spent the next nine years putting together the definitive French cookbook for Americans. The book, Mastering the Art of French Cooking , was a best-seller and critical hit, lauded for its helpful photographs, exquisite attention to detail and demystifying fine dining for the masses.
An infamously late bloomer, Child’s first book was not published until she was 49. She did not appear on air until she was 50. In 1966, Time magazine put her on the cover, calling her “Our Lady of the Ladle.”
By the late 1970s, Child was a cultural icon, appearing on television writing books and articles and a cooking column for the Boston Globe .
Then the 1990s hit and, as Child told The New York Times , “nutrition has reared its ugly head.” This didn’t bode well for Child, whose recipes were laden with butter, salt and cream. She soon earned the title Queen of Cholesterol.
Not one to be put down, though, Child rallied against the food police, insisting that everything was fine in moderation. Her secret to a long life, she often said, was “red meat and gin.”
“Now we’re eating all this fat-free, fake stuff, and we’re getting fat anyway because we’re not satisfied,” she once told People .
But Child did stay on top of the times, making concessions for shorter preparation times and lighter ingredients.”

Isn’t this a contradiction?
I know far more women than men who seriously cook. Most men I know just broil some meat and boil some veggies. Which is probably why so many men I know are so impressed by baking from scratch and eleborate dishes.
I also read a lot of blogs about cooking and baking and the ratio of men to women on these sites is about 1 to 9.
