In this segment from an upcoming episode of Organic Living with the Hippy Gourmet, we visit with Guide Dogs for the Blind in San Rafael, California!
Here we send our host in with a pack of wild dogs, OK…puppies- and then we meet up with Caesar Estrada of Canine Confections and Happy Pet Bakery of San Francisco, to learn how to make yummy, organic and fully vegetarian doggy treats!

omg! this is hilarious….it reminds me of seven pounds when the woman wouldn’t let her dog eat any meat. lol. anyway yeah…im vegetarian, but im not going as far as to make my pets vegetarian (sorry) though i support the idea. I went to the website vegetarianimage and bought pendants that i put on my cats collar though
Dog eat whatever tastes good. I’ve fed my dog fake meat and she gobbles it up like it’s real meat.
THESE DOGS ARE ADORABLE!
dogs are classified as omnivores. They can survive on a diet of either plant or animal origin if it is balanced and diverse. Having a nice vegan snack like this is a perfect complement to a diet full of animal protein.

you’re right, if owners insist on feeding dogs a vegan diet, they should at least supplement with DHA.

That may be, but believe me, the dogs in training get meat last I know of.
