http://www.HippyGourmet.com In this segment from Organic Living TV with the Hippy Gourmet, we visit an off-the-grid solar home where we meet Renee Loux, raw chef to the stars. Renee creates a Vegan Tekka-Maki (or sushi) roll without rice! Using a simple blend of sesame seeds, ginger and special seasonings, this awesome veggie roll comes to life!
why are you using processed sesame seeds, in lieu of rice? why can you use brown rice instead.
loved it. thanks
Ok, now where’s the recipe? I can’t find it anywhere.
Nori paper is not vegan.
When harvested, small aquatic crustaceans are prestnt in the algae and get crushed and incorporated into the nori sheets.
wow, veggie sushi never seemed so doable to me before! Thanks, I’ll try it. Much appreciated.
Wow, looks good using a seed pate instead of rice! Renee has beautiful eyes, BTW.

True enough, blanching is kind of important in a number of “raw” dishes, but they say if it’s under 130 degrees that it’s not considered cooking.
That looks soooo good! And how satisfying it must have been to have such a perfect-looking finished dish… well done! I think I’ll give it a go.
I wouldn’t call what she did with the asparagus cooking. Are tea and hotcoco cooked? Adding hot water is different…
Oh YUM! As usual, gorgeous and inspired recipes on your channel…
yummmmmm

wait, if she’s a raw chef, why did she just cook the asparagus?
Wow that really was an easy recipe. Looks very tasty as well. Thank you.
wow, you get around, you must have a lot of flyer miles.
