Put a bowl out with dog food and show it to him. He is not going to eat it at first. He will not eat for about 2 or 3 days. Then he will get hungry enough to eat his own food. Trust me when i got a dog from my neighbor i had the same problem. This is what helped me. The important thing is to wait it out. Once he is hungry he will eat.
